It’s been a super busy year at Bobbins and Buttons, classes have been full, the introduction of fabric has been a popular choice and the start (albeit quite slow) of the pattern range has been a positive one. The growth of the business is all thanks to you lovely customers, so by way of a Christmas gift and a big thank you I am running a 12 days of Christmas discount and offer campaign starting on Christmas day!
For the 12 days of Christmas there will be a new offer each day including all sorts of juicy discounts and giveaways. The discount codes will be published on all Bobbins and Buttons social media channels Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Each offer will be open for one day only. All you need to do is enter the code at the checkout on the day of the discount to claim your reward.
The offers relate to the fabric range which I know is the perfect gift for any sewist! Offers range from free postage to 30% off fabrics and free Liberty bundles.
In case you are not up to date with the current fabric range from Bobbins and Buttons here is a short run down of some of what you can find in this little online corner of the web!
Cotton prints – There is a huge selection of cotton prints from all the best designer names. Beautiful florals and fabulous colours from Art Gallery fabrics. Quirky subject matter from Alexander Henry and Michael Miller as well as a gorgeous selection from Dashwood, Robert Kaufman and Sevenberry to name but a few.
Liberty – The most recent addition to the cotton collection is the pretty new range from Liberty – The English Garden range has twenty three coordinating prints in shades of soft pink to duck egg blue. They really do transport you to a quintessentially English garden from yesteryear. These are all craft weight cotton and would make a stunning quilt or equally stunning childrens or adults clothing.
Jersey – We love this stretchy stuff, jersey, jersey, jersey. If you are lucky enough to own an overlocker you have probably discovered super speedy jersey makes. The jersey range is full of fun and funky prints in top quality cotton/elastane blends. There is a newly added range of stripes in classic combos as well as less usual combos. There is an extensive range of plain t-shirt weight jersey in cotton/elastane as well as viscose/elastane for a more drapey shapes.
Art Gallery jersey – You can find a good range of the lovely prints from Art gallery on their super soft cotton/elastane jersey base. So many possibilities for these beautiful prints from dresses to tops. It makes up well as harem pants and is so soft you can make lovely baby clothes from it too.
More new additions to the shop include a range of cotton/elastane French Terry and Ponte roma, perfect heavier weight jersey for sweater dresses and cosy winter makes.
Organic – If you are looking for organic Cloud 9 manufacture some really lovely organic fabrics. As well as standard quilters weight cotton they print their designs on double gauze, light weight batiste and have other interesting fabrics like the glitter broadcloth and laminated cottons. A good range of all of these are in stock.
Laminated cotton – As well as Cloud 9 laminated cotton you can also find a range of unbranded basic prints. These are super to work with and ideal if you want to make a wipeable item like a bag or raincoat. This is much lighter in weight and easier to use than oilcloth.
Cotton lawn – A superfine lightweight cotton which is lovely to use for dressmaking. The range includes the wonderful prints from Lady McElroy whose floral and bird prints are truly unique.
Crepe – For smart dresses and jackets the triple crepe hangs beautifully and hardly creases. For floaty dresses or blouses and tops Lady McElroy bubble crepe is a perfect solution.
Wool – Finally for outer layers especially over these colder months you can’t beat a wool coat. I think boiled wool has to be the ultimate winter coat fabric which is in stock in a fun range and classic range of colours.
This is just an overview of whats available there are lots of other lines and variations with new additions to the collection regularly. I hope you enjoy the offers over the 12 days of Christmas and treat yourself to a new project or two to kick start the new year.
Wishing you a very happy Christmas and fun, sewing filled new year.
