Bring your own overlocker to this class. Get to grips with some of the overlockers functions by making two scarves. A double sided jersey infinity scarf and a single sided viscose scarf. The class includes all materials.

This class can be booked as a single class or part of a 4 class mini course.

Level 1

This is an ideal follow on class to the ‘get to know your overlocker’ class putting some of the techniques into use to make two scarves.

Skills we will cover in this class.

  • Threading your overlocker and setting tensions.
  • Setting the machine up with appropriate differential feed and cutting width for the fabrics used.
  • Making a narrow or rolled edge finish
  • Making a French seam.

You will need to bring your own overlocker, along with the manual, tweezers and tool kit. You will also need to know your overlocker is in good working order.

Please don’t forget to bring your foot pedal!


All other materials will be provided. The materials included are:

50cm jersey from a provided selection

25cm viscose from a provided selection


Please get in touch if you would like to take the course but don’t have an overlocker, there are a limited amount of overlockers available to use for the session at no extra cost.
